The Bread Garden Bakery is a neighborhood bakery in Berkeley, California (across from the Claremont Hotel on the hillside), proud to be serving our customers since 1973. Our breads, pastries, cookies, and desserts are baked fresh daily from scratch by expert bakers.
The purpose of this website is to better communicate with our customers, replacing the Bread Garden News, which we published in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. While we have shipped throughout the United States, sales over the internet can't work for our products as the fastest delivery service will still deliver out baked goods day-old (when we would not sell them). One thing the internet can't deliver is freshness, which is part of what we offer.
